Egypt’s Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem discussed ways to strengthen industrial ties with African countries during a meeting with the head of a business association.
Egypt’s Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem met with Yousrey El-Sharkawi, chairperson of the Egyptian African Businessmen's Association. The talks focused on expanding Egyptian industrial companies in African markets and promoting greater integration across the continent. Hussein El Ghazawy, the minister’s advisor for energy affairs, and other senior ministry officials joined the discussion. Hashem stressed that Egypt’s leadership prioritizes deeper cooperation with African nations based on partnership and shared interests. El-Sharkawi said the association was established seven years ago and now includes 390 Egyptian member companies supported by 22 sectoral committees. It provides services to aid market access, entrepreneurship and economic integration throughout Africa.
