Argentina's Economy Ministry was evacuated on Monday afternoon after receiving a bomb threat via its security area.
Staff left the building at Hipólito Yrigoyen 250 minutes before 15:00. Employees descended via stairs as elevators remained blocked and gathered in Plaza de Mayo. Brigade members cut off gas and water supplies as part of protocol. Federal Police officers inspected the site and blocked traffic between Bolívar and Paseo Colón. Minister Luis Caputo was in a meeting with former Colombian President Iván Duque when the evacuation began. Authorities did not disclose the threat's origin or detect suspicious items in initial checks.
