The Fiscalía General del Estado de Veracruz confirmed the linking to process of eight people for the intentional homicide of journalist Roxana Berenice Guzmán Ramírez.
Authorities reported that the eight people were linked to the process in the corresponding hearing. Among the detainees are Javier Iván “N”, alias Delta 1; José del Carmen “N”, alias Delta 7; Luis Arturo “N”, alias Delta 11 or El Pelón; Karen Monserrat “N”, alias La Hiena; and four others identified as Julio César “N”, Luis Enrique “N”, Juan Carlos “N” and Ismael “N”.
The court determined that there are sufficient elements to presume their participation in the deprivation of liberty and the murder of the journalist. The events occurred on June 2, 2026, in the Primero de Mayo neighborhood of the municipality of Nanchital.
The Fiscalía Regional Coatzacoalcos achieved the linking within criminal process 365/2026. The eight people will remain in preventive detention while the judicial process continues. The FGE noted that the actions were carried out in accordance with the law and due process.
