The forum held in Addis Ababa reviewed the spring season forecast and presented the upcoming summer forecast. Minister Habtamu Itefa noted that the institute's pre-forecast information accuracy has reached 90 percent.
This level has enabled coping with possible disasters. Institute Director General Fetene Teshome confirmed that this year's spring weather forecast matched the actual conditions experienced.
The institute strengthened centers across various parts of the country and used modern technologies to deliver accurate information to relevant bodies. Its implementation capacity and information quality have grown.
