Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda delivered equipment to the 32 Centros LIBRE operating in Guerrero. During the event, she reaffirmed the commitment to reach 85 centers by the end of her administration.
Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda, accompanied by Ingrid Gómez Saracibar and Viridiana Lorelei Hernández Rivera, highlighted that the Secretaría de las Mujeres allocated nearly 35 million pesos for the operation of the network. The program's coverage increased from 22 centers last year to 32 in 2026, distributed across the state's eight regions.
The Centros LIBRE provide specialized care, legal guidance, and support to prevent gender-based violence. Salgado Pineda stated that the goal is for every municipality to have a protection space for women.
Secretary of Women Hilda Ruth Lorenzo Hernández reported that the initiative is part of the Programa de Atención Integral para el Bienestar de las Mujeres. The event was attended by municipal presidents and state officials including Ricardo Salinas Sandoval and Zipacná Jesús Torres.
