Police reported early Friday morning that an explosion took place at a residence in the Kvillebäcken area of Göteborg. The alert came in at 23:14 on Thursday evening, when nearby residents reported hearing a bang and breaking glass.
Adam Isaksson Samara, police spokesperson, stated: "The area has been cordoned off, and the bomb squad will arrive shortly to assess what may have detonated. We have been and continue to work on searching for the perpetrator; there is no suspect at this time."
No individuals have been reported injured in connection with the explosion. Police are conducting door-to-door inquiries in the area to gather information. The incident is being investigated as public endangerment destruction and a violation of the law on flammable and explosive goods.
