Revenue in Formula 1 climbed from $2.1 billion in 2021 to $3.9 billion in 2025, allowing teams to post profits exceeding $100 million in some cases. Current power unit rules, which took effect this year, were shaped when the sport still relied heavily on manufacturers after Honda's return and Audi's planned entry, along with Red Bull's project with Ford.
