Government allocates Rp1.54 trillion for transportation ticket discounts

Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi announced a Rp1.54 trillion budget allocation for ticket discount programs during school holidays and Nataru.

The government is providing a 30 percent discount on train tickets from June 20 to July 5, 2026. A 30 percent discount on basic ship fares runs until August 15, 2026, along with free ASDP port services during the same period.

A 100 percent PPN DTP incentive applies to domestic economy class plane tickets with a budget of Rp472.7 billion. The program targets 2.3 million passengers.

For the Nataru period, the 30 percent train discount runs from December 22, 2026, to January 4, 2027. The overall budget totals Rp1.54 trillion with a target of 11.8 million passengers.
