Half a million Swedes to receive lifestyle health survey

Half a million people in Sweden aged 16 and older will receive a letter in the coming days with questions from the Public Health Agency about their health and lifestyle habits. The national survey 'Health on Equal Terms' covers areas such as safety, stress, diet, and alcohol. The aim is to map differences in well-being between various groups.

The Public Health Agency of Sweden is sending out the national public health survey 'Health on Equal Terms' to half a million Swedes aged 16 and older. Conducted every two years in collaboration with the country's regions, the survey aims to provide knowledge on health and well-being in the population. The questions cover lifestyle aspects such as safety, physical and mental ailments, stress, diet, alcohol, and more. This is reported by Nerikes Allehanda and Aftonbladet on January 29, 2026. Project leader Pi Zetterquist explains in a press release: 'With the help of the survey, we can detect differences between different groups. The more responses in each group, the better the opportunities to identify what needs to change for good health in the entire population.' The survey assists authorities in identifying needs for changes to promote public health on equal terms.
