Indonesia women's national team began their 2026 AFF Women's Cup campaign with a convincing 2-0 victory over Timor-Leste at Kuala Lumpur Stadium on Friday.
Estella Loupatty opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a left-footed shot after winning the ball in midfield. Emily Nahon doubled the lead in the 28th minute with a header from a corner kick.
Indonesia as defending champions dominated the game under coach Satoru Mochizuki. Timor-Leste struggled to break the pressure and spent much of the match on the defensive.
The win put Indonesia at the top of Group B standings. The team will face Cambodia on Tuesday.
