A landslide struck desa pasirlangu, cisarua subdistrict, west bandung regency, on tuesday (27/1/2026), killing several tni marinir soldiers and local residents. The indonesian air force (tni au) deploys avia hybrid drone from the tni au geospatial center (pusgeosau) to monitor the affected area. Pusgeosau chief, marsekal muda tni ferdinand roring, states that aerial monitoring results support local government and related agencies in searching for missing victims and sar operations. "The use of avia hybrid drone enables fast, accurate, and safe monitoring, especially in high-risk locations for field personnel," ferdinand said. Drone imagery also helps identify evacuation routes, settlement conditions, and damaged infrastructure. As of thursday (29/1/2026), the drone remains deployed for sar purposes.
The national search and rescue agency (basarnas) reports handing over 53 bags of body parts from landslide victims in kampung pasir kuning, desa pasir, cisarua subdistrict, to the disaster victim identification (dvi) team.
