Palembang, VIVA – South Sumatra Police Chief Irjen Sandi Nugroho has assured that his ranks are solid and ready for combat in securing Operasi Ketupat 2026. This was emphasized during checks of security posts (pos pam), distribution of aid (tali asih), and iftar meals (takjil) simultaneously at various strategic points, centered at Pos Simpang 5 DPRD Province, Jalan Kapten A. Rivai, Palembang. The activity involved 39 combined personnel from Polri, TNI, Dishub, Satpol PP, Dinkes, and Senkom, representing integrated security with a focus on quick response and patrol infrastructure readiness. Sandi stressed uniformity of actions across the entire Polda Sumsel jurisdiction. “Today we are moving simultaneously across all ranks to ensure no gaps in public security. This post check is proof that all personnel, from administration to patrol fleets, are in ready-for-combat condition to provide rapid response in every corner of South Sumatra,” said Sandi. The presence of the Bhayangkari Chair and Board accompanying senior officials added empathy through aid distribution to on-duty personnel. Iftar meal distribution to road users served as a cooling system to calm the atmosphere and educate on traffic compliance. “This simultaneous activity also carries a humanitarian mission. We want to show that behind this uniform, Polri still prioritizes family values. This simultaneous iftar distribution is our way of greeting the public humanely, while also cooling the atmosphere (cooling system) so that the public security situation remains conducive and warm,” he said. The action demonstrates Polda Sumsel's managerial strength and personnel morale support.
