Israeli students have gifted the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv with a robot designed in the colors of the Philippine flag. Young innovators from Naftali Yadlin Interdisciplinary Campus unveiled Herbie 2.0, created by the school’s robotics team.
The robot was built by students aged 12 to 14 from the 3140 Mars Monkeys team at Yadlin School in Rishon LeZion. It waves the Philippine flag, greets people, dances, plays number games, and responds to movement through its sensors.
The school is a sister city partner with Quezon City and focuses on student-centered education in science, technology, innovation, and the arts. The Embassy said it would display Herbie 2.0 as a symbol of friendship and tech innovation.
The Embassy expressed appreciation to the team for the gift.
