Ivalys Studios releases new demo for Pluralys during early access

Indie developer Ivalys Studios has launched a free demo called EXP. 14 for its RPG Pluralys, which is currently in early access. This standalone adventure introduces players to the game's focus on dialogue and choices without combat. The demo provides a spoiler-free taste of the mechanics and world.

Indie game developer and publisher Ivalys Studios has released a new free demo for Pluralys while the title remains in early access. Named EXP. 14, this demo offers a completely separate adventure from the main storyline, serving as an independent experience to showcase gameplay without revealing plot details.

Pluralys is a story-driven RPG that emphasizes compelling dialogue and player choices over traditional combat encounters and leveling. Players step into the role of Elie, a 16-year-old RPG enthusiast living a peaceful life in Sector G. The narrative begins when Elie receives a cryptic, desperate message, propelling them into an adventure across a world where humans coexist with mysterious creatures called Zeings. Every conversation can uncover secrets, build friendships, or influence the world's fate.

A key feature is the time-bending Pager, a unique tool that allows players to pause reality, manipulate objects, analyze thoughts, intentions, and emotions, phase through certain glass surfaces, and hack security systems or computers. This mechanic aids in solving puzzles, interacting with the environment, and progressing through challenges and mini-games in a lived-in world.

The game explores the relationships between humans and Zeings, each with their own stories, secrets, and motivations. It features a vibrant 2D aesthetic inspired by classics such as Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda, alongside an original soundtrack that blends cozy and mysterious tones. As development continues, no full release date has been announced.
