IWC Schaffhausen has expanded its Ingenieur collection with five new models unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2026, marking the 50th anniversary of the Gérald Genta-designed Ingenieur SL ref. 1832. The releases include smaller cases, diverse materials like ceramic and titanium, and complications such as perpetual calendars and tourbillons. Prices start at €11,300 for a steel model and reach price-on-request for a limited gold tourbillon.
The Ingenieur line, originally introduced in the 1950s with a Faraday cage for protection and later redesigned by Gérald Genta in the 1970s, sees fresh additions in various sizes and configurations. IWC highlighted two Ingenieur Automatic 35 models: ref. IW324911 with an 18K 5N gold bezel set with 45 diamonds totaling 0.7 carats, priced at €18,800, and ref. IW324907 in steel with a blue dial at €11,300. Both feature the caliber 47110 automatic movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve and 10-bar water resistance, viewable through transparent case backs.
