Jenny Walton, known for her archival Prada collections and fanciful Instagram posts, hosted a gathering in the presidential suite at The Carlyle Hotel to celebrate her new book, Jenny Sais Quoi: Adventures in Vintage and Personal Style, published by Monacelli/Phaidon. The book features watercolors and essays encouraging creative approaches to fashion and style, such as 'Flow State Fashion' and 'Off The Algorithm.' Walton told Vogue, “I didn't want to do a guidebook, in any way, because it’s 2026 and you don’t want something prescriptive that says ‘wear this’ or ‘do this’—but I wanted this book to get people to think in a more creative way.” Guests included designers Christopher John Rogers and Tommy Ton, Leandra Medine Cohen, and Vogue editors Lisa Aiken and Lilah Ramzi. They admired a cake shaped like Walton’s dog, Aurora, crafted by Lilli Maren, while waiters from the hotel’s Bemelmans Bar served martinis in Art Deco glassware. The Vestiaire Collective team showcased Walton’s Hermes, Chanel, and Prada items from the suite’s walk-in closet, now available online. Looking ahead, Walton plans a talk at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum tied to its Schiaparelli exhibition and a move from Milan to Santa Barbara with her fiancé, Nick, whom she met on a flight from New York to San Francisco last year. She described their new ‘70s house on a quiet cul-de-sac as the start of a new adventure.
