Josh Hutcherson just spilled the tea on resenting his massive Hunger Games fame. The actor opened up in a candid chat with co-star Elizabeth Banks.
The 33-year-old star told Variety he became a household name in 2012 as Peeta Mellark but hated the scrutiny that followed. "For a long time, I was resentful toward it, because I didn’t want that kind of attention," he said, adding he felt "chip-on-my-shoulder angry about it."
Hutcherson leaned on Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth during the chaos. He called the franchise his "college days," noting he was just 19 when filming began and never attended traditional school.
Now with 24 years in the biz, he admits the uncertainty still stresses him out. "I am always thinking, 'Well, it was a good run... I guess that’s it,'" he shared. With perspective, though, he has grown to appreciate it all.
So… has the resentment fully faded, or does fame still sting?
