Actor Kristen Stewart appeared at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend in two striking Chanel outfits while promoting her new film Full Phil.
Stewart attended the photo call in a sheer gray tweed top and skirt from the brand's spring 2026 couture collection. The look featured frayed edges and jeweled buttons along with an optical illusion of transparency created by boy shorts and a camisole underneath. She later changed into a red and black knit gown from the fall 2026 collection that included delicate crochet leaves and paired it with a red lip and a pixie cut hairstyle. Both ensembles were completed with sneakers from her personal collection by Nike and Converse. Stylist Tara Swennen described the approach as aiming for a youthful and effortless vibe that remained grounded in real movement rather than polished perfection. Stewart also wore pieces from Chanel's High Jewelry line including a small red timepiece. The festival maintains a strict dress code that discourages flat shoes and sheer designs yet Swennen noted that rules remain malleable when outfits stay polished and authentic. Stewart is scheduled to preside over the Biarritz Nouvelles Vagues Festival in late June where virtual fittings for a French Cruise theme already took place while she was in Cannes. She will also promote her wife Dylan Meyer's film The Wrong Girls this summer.
