LaRoyce Hawkins to exit Chicago P.D. in season 14

LaRoyce Hawkins is leaving the NBC series Chicago P.D. after more than a decade on the show. The actor, who plays Kevin Atwater, will depart during season 14.

Hawkins has been part of the ensemble cast since the procedural premiered in 2014. He will return to conclude his character's storyline before exiting the series, according to reports.

The show is also casting a new series regular amid the change. A representative for NBC declined to comment on the development.

In season 13, Atwater's storyline involved a romance with Officer Tasha Fox, played by Karen Obilom. The character learned she was pregnant after she moved to Miami.

Chicago P.D. season 14 is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, October 7, at 10/9c.
