Argentine fashionista Lau Styling responded to criticism over a video in which she insulted Mexican fans after the 2026 World Cup final. In a statement, she took responsibility and called for respect above sporting rivalries.
Lau Styling posted a video on social media saying: “Todos los mexicanos: ‘¡Ganó España!’, pero ¿vos estuviste en la final? ¡Ni en la cuarta estuviste, hijos de p***!”. The message came after Spain defeated Argentina in the 2026 World Cup final.
In her response, the image consultant for Flor Vigna wrote: “Reconozco que mis palabras generaron una reacción negativa y entiendo por qué muchas personas se sintieron molestas. Lamento sinceramente que mi publicación haya causado ese impacto”. She added that her intention was never to disrespect anyone.
Lau Styling clarified that her annoyance was also directed at people from Brazil, Uruguay and Venezuela who mocked Argentina. She said she received offensive messages and affirmed that she loves Mexico as a second country. Actress Gala Montes criticized the stylist on social media, recalling prior differences over her work on La Casa de los Famosos México.
