Linus Millner Westberg signs with Vimmerby in Hockeyallsvenskan

Defenseman Linus Millner Westberg has agreed to join Vimmerby for the upcoming season in Sweden's Hockeyallsvenskan league. The 22-year-old moves from Norwegian club Stjernen after limited prior experience in Swedish top divisions.

Vimmerby confirmed the signing of Millner Westberg on June 17. The player previously appeared in two Hockeyallsvenskan games with Mora and one SHL contest for Leksand. He also played in Hockeyettan for Borlänge and Sundsvall.

Vimmerby sports chief Pelle Johansson highlighted the defender's ability to take responsibility across multiple areas of play. Johansson noted that Millner Westberg possesses qualities that align with the team's preferred style, which emphasizes involvement from the back end.

The addition brings Vimmerby's defensive roster to seven players. The club continues to seek several forwards to complete its lineup ahead of the season.
