National Police captured a man in Neiva by court order for the crime of receiving stolen goods. Order No. 002 comes from the Second Criminal Circuit Court with Knowledge Functions in Neiva, to serve a 32-month prison sentence for events in February 2024 in Palermo, Huila.
Units from the Criminal Investigation Section (SIJIN) of the National Police in Neiva carried out the capture of the man, who has prior judicial records for aggravated theft and receiving stolen goods, suggesting recidivism in crimes against economic assets, according to authorities. The case stems from criminal acts recorded in February 2024 in the municipality of Palermo, Huila department. The court order ensures compliance with the imposed sentence. Colonel Héctor Jairo Betancur Rojas, commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, stated: “With this result, we continue advancing in the judicialization of criminal actors who affect citizen security. We invite the community to continue reporting promptly, as the information provided is key to achieving this type of captures.” This action is part of police efforts to reduce crime in the region.
