Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign midfielder Andrey Santos from Chelsea for a fee of £50 million. Chelsea have also confirmed the signing of winger Geovany Quenda from Sporting for £40 million.
Manchester United agreed a £50 million package for the 23-year-old Santos, with £48 million upfront and £2 million in add-ons. Chelsea will retain a 10 percent sell-on clause. Santos is expected to undergo a medical at Old Trafford soon.
Santos joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in 2023 and featured in 43 matches last season, scoring three goals and providing four assists. He has previously spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg.
Chelsea announced the arrival of 19-year-old Quenda on an eight-year contract. The Portugal Under-21 international made 86 appearances for Sporting, scoring nine goals and recording 17 assists. Quenda said, “It feels great to be here. Chelsea is a great team and I am excited to play here at Stamford Bridge.”
