Marcus Ericsson finishes sixth in Nashville

Marcus Ericsson took sixth place in the rain-delayed IndyCar race on the Nashville oval. He had advanced to fifth before a restart but lost ground at the end.

Marcus Ericsson started from tenth and drove steadily with smart tactics. He reached fifth when Dennis Hauger crashed into the wall. The race restarted with 31 laps left of 225.

Ericsson attacked for second against three Penske cars but finished sixth. He said he gave everything for a podium spot.

– I am satisfied that I gave everything for a podium place and a win, but this was the pace we had today, Ericsson told Nerikes Allehanda.
