Rajena Linson, 25, faces charges of aggravated assault with intent to murder for a 2022 attack in Detroit. Authorities say she and an accomplice beat a woman and ran her over with a car before leaving her in freezing temperatures.
Detroit police announced the charges on Friday. The incident occurred on January 31, 2022, after a woman drove Linson to a bar in Eastpointe, Michigan. The group then traveled to a middle school parking lot on the 15400 block of Maddelein Street in Detroit.
When the victim stepped out of the vehicle to use the bathroom, Linson and the accomplice allegedly attacked her. Police said the suspects backed the car over the victim, paused, and drove away, leaving her severely injured.
The woman remained outside in temperatures around nine degrees for about six hours until discovered. She suffered a broken jaw, a broken leg, and a head hematoma. The vehicle reportedly returned later to check on her condition.
It remains unclear whether the accomplice has been arrested. Linson's arrest comes years after the attack.
