A modern power distribution station built in Werabe town at a cost of 640 million birr was inaugurated today.
The 132/33 kV Werabe power distribution station was inaugurated in Werabe town in the Silte Zone. The project cost 640 million birr and aims to address long-standing electricity outages and quality issues in the town and surrounding areas.
Minister of Labor and Skills Muferihat Kamil and Ethiopian Electric Power CEO Ashber Balcha attended the ceremony along with other officials. The minister noted that reliable power supply will play a significant role in expanding new investment options in the town.
Ashber Balcha stated that the station's operation will create greater capacity for reliable and high-quality power supply in Werabe and its environs. He added that it will substantially reduce the voltage drops and outages previously experienced.
