Motorcyclist crashes with moose on Riksväg 69

A motorcyclist swerved to avoid a moose and ended up in a ditch on Riksväg 69. The rider was airlifted to Akademiska sjukhuset in Uppsala.

The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon near Bertilsbo, between Rättvik and Bjursås. The road was closed during the rescue operation.

Police said the driver was awake when loaded into the ambulance helicopter. The extent of injuries is unknown.

The moose was euthanized after the crash.
