Elk dies after fall from height in central Uppsala

An elk was seen in central Uppsala on the morning of June 5. The animal later died after falling from a high height on Stationsgatan.

Police were contacted at 9 a.m. following the sighting of the elk. At 10:15 a.m. police reported that the elk had died due to the fall. Maria Hall, press spokesperson for Police Region Mitt, urged the public not to approach the animal unnecessarily. Communal hunters will remove the body from the site.
