Yahoo Sports analyst Nate Tice said the Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback situation could limit an otherwise strong roster heading into the 2026 season.
Tice made the comments on the NFL Daily podcast. He pointed to Aaron Rodgers as the main issue despite upgrades across the team.
"It’s the quarterback, man. It’s the quarterback. That’s what’s holding me back," Tice said. He praised the defense, offensive line, run game and receiving weapons as solid.
The Steelers added Michael Pittman Jr. and rookie Germie Bernard at receiver. They also hired new offensive line coaches James Campen and Jahri Evans and signed cornerback Jamel Dean in free agency.
Rodgers, 42, returns for another year after a reunion with head coach Mike McCarthy. Tice noted concerns about the veteran’s mobility and the offense’s downfield passing ability.
