An 18-year-old New Jersey man faces murder charges after authorities say he fatally stabbed his 69-year-old grandmother. The incident took place Monday in Jackson Township. Louis Brown surrendered to police after calling 911.
Louis Brown, 18, is accused of one count each of murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon in the death of Darlene Brown. Ocean County prosecutors announced the charges in a press release. The victim was found with at least eight stab wounds to her head and neck and two knives protruding from her body in an upstairs bedroom of their shared apartment on Justin Way.
