Son charged with father's stabbing death in Pennsylvania

A woman in Allegheny County discovered her husband suffering from multiple stab wounds after returning from errands on Saturday. Their son has been charged with criminal homicide and arrested in Maryland.

Authorities said the victim, identified as 69-year-old Alhaji Buhari, was found at the family home on the 100 block of Arnoni Drive. The mother reported seeing blood trails leading to the basement where the suspect often spent time.

Kabir Buhari, 42, was taken into custody at a hotel in Bethesda, Maryland. Officials noted he will remain there pending extradition to Pennsylvania.

The Allegheny County Police Department said the suspect has a history of mental illness and had previously been involuntarily committed. Court records show no hearing has been scheduled yet.
