Nike has brought back the original Air Max 95 'Slate' colorway with Big Bubble soles. The design stays true to its 1995 roots, including blue suede layers and a green embroidered Swoosh. It will launch on the SNKRS app for $190 on May 7.
The Air Max 95 'Slate' sneaker, first released in 1995, marked one of the model's debut colorways alongside 'Neon,' 'Grape,' and 'Comet Red.' Nike has updated the revival with chunkier Big Bubble soles while preserving key elements like the blue suede upper layers, green Air Units, and embroidered green Swoosh on the side ankle. This gives the shoe an oceanic look with French Blue tones. The 'Neon' variant has seen multiple restocks over the years. Nike plans to release the 'Slate' pairs on its SNKRS app on May 7 for $190. The drop coincides with the 'Comet Red' colorway, set for May 8. Highsnobiety first detailed the revival on April 27.
