Nike is bringing back its Air Max 95 in the original Comet Red colorway, first released in 1995. The sneaker features smooth suede, leather, and mesh in grey, black, and white with red accents on eyelets, logos, and Air units. It will retail for $180 and launch on May 8 via the SNKRS app.
The Air Max 95 Comet Red joins other original colorways like Neon, Grape, and Bright Mandarin that debuted alongside it in 1995. This marks only the second return for Comet Red since its initial launch, with the previous re-release occurring in the 2010s. The 2026 version stays faithful to the classic design, incorporating Big Bubble soles that echo the 1990s aesthetic seen in recent Air Max 95 models. The upper combines layered suede, leather, and mesh in neutral tones, accented by vibrant Comet Red details. Nike has updated many recent Air Max 95s with the larger Big Bubble sole to preserve the original spirit. Priced at $180, the sneakers will be available starting May 8 through Nike's SNKRS app. Fans who missed earlier drops now have another chance to acquire this revival.
