Evidence suggests Nintendo could soon introduce a redesigned LCD panel for the Switch 2 to address quality complaints. The new screen appears to come from Sharp rather than the current supplier InnoLux.
Visual evidence from a Chinese resale site shows a listing for a Switch 2 screen with different circuits, connectors, and cables. Reports indicate this points to an updated redesign instead of a minor revision.
The current panel is made by Taiwan-based InnoLux and uses low-temperature polycrystalline silicon glass from Sharp. The new components differ significantly according to observers.
Many players have complained about the LCD screen's response times, which can cause blurry visuals during fast motion in handheld mode. Nintendo has not commented on the possible change.
Separately, the company is set to launch a new Switch 2 model in Europe with a replaceable battery to meet regional regulations.
