Örebro has fourth most chlamydia cases per capita

Örebro county ranks fourth in Sweden for chlamydia cases per 100,000 residents according to Public Health Agency figures.

Deputy infection control physician Olof Säll urges caution, especially during the summer. He notes that the high figures may result from more residents in Örebro getting tested compared to other parts of the country.

Säll wants to downplay the ranking. He says it could be that Örebro residents are simply better at testing themselves, which explains the higher number of confirmed cases reported here.

The data comes from Public Health Agency statistics on reported cases.
