Örebro SK dropped points at home to bottom-placed IFK Norrby, drawing 1-1 in Superettan round four. Ahmed Yasin equalized after trailing, while key player Kalle Holmberg was benched for the second straight match. The game followed just days after an euphoric win over IFK Norrköping.
ÖSK hosted Borås-based Norrby at home in Superettan round four. The team trailed but Ahmed Yasin salvaged a point with his goal, and goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski made a huge save.
Kalle Holmberg, ÖSK's most important player over the last three seasons, was benched for the second match in a row. "We might not agree all the time, but I respect his decision", Holmberg said afterwards.
The contrast to the previous match was stark. After the win over arch-rival IFK Norrköping in front of nearly 12,000 fans and subsequent celebrations, the league leaders now faced an empty away stand against the bottom team. "It was clearly a big contrast but it shouldn't matter", Ahmed Yasin said.
Coach Rikard Norling commented: "I just told the guys down there that I'm learning as much as they are about Superettan with every match". He noted that different conditions and short recovery time may have affected them, but not a crash.
