PFAS substances have been found in groundwater at nearly 250 test sites across Sweden. Levels are higher in Skåne than in the rest of the country.
Sweden's Geological Survey has investigated the presence of PFAS in groundwater for three years.
Nearly 250 different test sites have been examined, including wells, groundwater pipes and natural springs.
– Unfortunately it is that bad, says Joel Häggqvist, state geologist at SGU.
