PNM urges public to join real actions for forest protection

PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) promotes forest conservation via its Green Impact program ahead of World Forest Day. By November 2025, PNM has planted 75,000 trees and targets 85,000 more in 2026.

World Forest Day highlights forests' role as ecosystem supporters, earth's lungs, carbon absorbers, biodiversity protectors, and livelihoods for millions, including ultra-micro groups in Indonesia. The Food and Agriculture Organization's Global Forest Resources Assessment 2020 reports a loss of about 10 million hectares of forest annually from 2015–2020, underscoring a global challenge needing multi-stakeholder collaboration. PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), via its Green Impact program under Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), contributes concretely to forest preservation. By November 2025, PNM has planted 75,000 trees across Indonesia and targets an additional 85,000 in 2026 to aid ecosystem recovery. The initiative goes beyond tree-planting to raise public awareness, involving PNM customers for ecological and social impacts. PNM Corporate Secretary Dodot Patria Ary said, “From small steps taken together, greater impacts will grow for nature and future generations.” PNM hopes this strengthens joint efforts to sustain forests as life sources and build a sustainable future.
