Five people died in Cordovil, in Rio de Janeiro's north zone, between Friday night (10) and Saturday morning (11). The Civil Police is investigating the circumstances.
According to the Military Police, the shootout occurred between rival traffickers in the Tinta and Dourado communities. The areas are controlled by Comando Vermelho and were targeted by Terceiro Comando Puro.
Cordovil is located near Complexo de Israel, the main TCP region in the city, and Complexo da Penha, the main CV area. The victims have not yet been identified, but one was a woman.
A bus on line 940 was left across Estrada do Quitungo after the driver was approached by men on a motorcycle. The road was blocked and later reopened. The PM remains on site with RECOM teams, and the Delegacia de Homicídios da Capital is leading the investigations.
