President Prabowo Subianto departed for London, England, on Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2026, from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta. Before takeoff, he met Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI Sufmi Dasco Ahmad to receive a report on recent information developments, though details were not disclosed. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya confirmed the meeting, which took place at the VVIP Base Ops building at Lanud Halim.
In London, Prabowo is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss strategic cooperation agreements, including in economy and maritime sectors. He will then meet King Charles III, with key agenda items on nature preservation, environment, and elephant conservation alongside global philanthropists.
Following London, Prabowo will proceed to Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum on January 22, 2026. His special address is set for 14:00-14:30 local time (CET), sharing the stage with WEF President and CEO Børge Brende.
