President Prabowo Subianto stated that the global crises occurring everywhere present opportunities for Indonesia to rise stronger. He emphasized that strong nations will survive while weak ones will suffer, while praising the Badan Pengelola Investasi Danantara's achievement of a 300 percent increase in return on assets in one year. Prabowo also warned his officials against submitting false reports.

At the 1st anniversary celebration of the Badan Pengelola Investasi (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara, or Danantara, held at Wisma Danantara in South Jakarta on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, President Prabowo Subianto shared his views on global crises. He described the current world as full of uncertainty with crises occurring everywhere, but viewed them as tests and stepping stones for nations to strengthen themselves.

"Saudara-saudara, ini semakin mendesak karena kita lihat dunia sekarang penuh ketidakpastian. Terjadi di mana-mana krisis. Tapi Saudara-saudara, krisis selalu menghasilkan peluang. Krisis adalah ujian. Krisis adalah batu loncatan," Prabowo said.

According to him, this crisis is a 'blessing in disguise' or hidden blessing. Indonesia, with its extraordinary natural resources, is believed capable of emerging from the crisis stronger. "Yang kuat akan selamat, yang tidak kuat akan terus menderita. Ini pelajaran sejarah. Saya yakin dan percaya bangsa Indonesia diberi kekayaan alam yang luar biasa dan kita mampu keluar dari krisis ini," he added.

Prabowo also discussed how challenges are forcing the government to accelerate strategic agendas, such as food self-sufficiency, which has been partially achieved, and energy self-sufficiency targeted within the next four years. "Memang penuh kesulitan, memang penuh tantangan. Tapi memaksa kita mempercepat niat-niat baik," he stated.

Additionally, the President praised Danantara's performance, which recorded an increase in return on assets (RoA) of more than 300 percent in 2025 compared to previous years. "Saya dapat laporan, saya cukup gembira, return on asset satu tahun 2025 dibandingkan tahun sebelum-sebelumnya sudah naik lebih dari 300 persen. Ini cukup baik," he said. However, he emphasized that the achievement is not yet sufficient and warned against false reports.

"Jangan main-main lagi dengan saya laporan palsu. Laporan menyenangkan-nyenangkan. Laporan supaya bisa akal-akalan. Saya kasih peringatan keras ini," Prabowo firmly stated. He targets a minimum RoA of 5 percent for Danantara from managed assets of US$1 trillion, meaning generating US$50 billion or approximately Rp800 trillion annually. This, he said, proves the importance of good management under single control.
