Part of the roof collapsed at Torp shopping center in Uddevalla on Saturday morning. The alarm came at 08.20 and staff were evacuated from the area.
The collapse created a 48 square meter hole above a candy store. A sprinkler pipe burst and water leaked onto the floor.
Rescue services cordoned off the area and no staff or customers were allowed inside. Nearby stores could reopen but the affected store and two other premises remained closed.
No injuries were reported and no ambulance was needed. The cause of the collapse remains unknown according to rescue services.
