Ethiopia's rural corridor development is enhancing urban-rural connections and improving living standards. Started in Addis Ababa under the Medemer government vision, the work has now expanded across all regions. The project builds modern model villages using local resources.
The rural corridor development is making cities modern, beautiful and clean. In rural areas where most citizens live, the project plays a major role in improving livelihoods and bringing modernity.
Since the majority of society bases its living on rural areas, model villages are built at low cost using local materials. This allows farmers to lead healthy and dignified lives.
The project includes solar power and supports renewable energy supply. It reduces migration from rural to urban areas and promotes balanced growth.
