President William Ruto has appointed former Isiolo South MP Abdul Bahari Ali as the new Non-Executive Chairperson of the Konza Technopolis Development Authority Board.
The appointment was gazetted through a notice dated June 5 and takes effect immediately for a three-year term. Ali replaces Prof. Raphael Munavu who died on April 24 after his re-appointment in March. Ali represented Isiolo South Constituency in Parliament from 2003 to 2013 under KANU and later the Jubilee Coalition. He served on the Budget, Public Investment, and Local Authorities and Funds Committees and later as Chief Administrative Secretary for the Ministry of Devolution and Arid and Semi-Arid Lands. KoTDA oversees the multi-billion-shilling Konza Technopolis project aimed at establishing Kenya as a leading technology and innovation hub.
