NATO foreign ministers gathered in Helsingborg on Friday. Mark Rutte said after the meeting that the US wants to stay in NATO.
Rutte stressed that all members follow Article 5. He called the will to defend the alliance iron hard.
Foreign Minister Marco Rubio noted that Donald Trump is disappointed with several allies. He mentioned the need for help with Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.
Maria Malmer Stenergard said the meeting had led to closer ties between allies. The meeting is seen as preparation for the next major meeting in Ankara in six weeks.
