Seiko has introduced four new models in its Presage Classic Series, featuring dials inspired by Tomioka Silk. The watches support preservation efforts for the region's silk industry through donations from sales.
The new models, designated HCC001, HCC002, HCC003, and the limited-edition HCC008, feature 38mm cases with a wavy concentric dial pattern that mimics the texture of finely woven Tomioka Silk. The stainless steel versions offer white, vibrant green, or soft pink dials, while the limited edition includes pink-gold-tone plating, a coin-edge bezel, and a pearl-coated white dial.
All models house the 6R51A automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve and 100m water resistance. They measure 12.9mm thick and will become available in July, with the limited edition restricted to 2,000 pieces.
Seiko will donate a portion of proceeds from the collection to the Tomioka Silk Promotion Organization. The standard models retail for €1,030 or €1,050, and the limited edition for €1,200.
