Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox will reprise their roles as Malcolm Winters and Dr. Stephanie Simmons on The Young and the Restless starting April 7. The actors' return to Genoa City promises to stir up past feelings and new drama, as shown in an exclusive clip. Their appearances mark a homecoming after years away from the CBS soap opera.
Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox are set to return to The Young and the Restless on Tuesday, April 7, airing at 12:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. PT on CBS. Moore will once again play Malcolm Winters, while Fox reprises Dr. Stephanie Simmons. The episode teases tension from their shared history in Genoa City, as revealed in TVLine's exclusive first look at the scene. Malcolm tells Stephanie, 'It feels good to be back.' When he asks if she is catching up and trading stories, she admits to a recent chat that turned heavy. 'The past gets complicated, doesn't it?' she responds. Moore first portrayed Malcolm Winters from 1994 to 2005, with guest appearances in 2014, 2019, and most recently in 2023. That visit honored the show's 50th anniversary and paid tribute to the late Kristoff St. John, who played Neil Winters, Malcolm's brother. Fox appeared as Stephanie Simmons for one year ending in 1995 and has not returned since.
