Södertälje has extended the contract of center Hampus Harlestam through the 2027/28 season. The 33-year-old forward, a reliable performer in Hockeyallsvenskan, adds stability to the team's core. Sportchef Emil Georgsson praised Harlestam's work ethic and contributions.
Södertälje announced that Hampus Harlestam has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping the 33-year-old center with the club until the end of the 2027/28 season. Harlestam has been a consistent presence in Hockeyallsvenskan, serving as assistant captain in each of the last two seasons while posting 23 points last year and 24 the season before that. The team already has Teemu Väyrynen under contract and has agreed terms with Daniel Muzito-Bagenda, who is expected to play center. Sportchef Emil Georgsson highlighted Harlestam's value, saying, “He is part of the core of the team. A player who always puts the team first, works extremely hard, and contributes offensively.” This move strengthens Södertälje's lineup as they build for upcoming seasons in Hockeyallsvenskan.
