Spencer Pratt is pushing back hard after reports surfaced that he's been crashing at the luxe Hotel Bel-Air instead of the Airstream trailer featured in his mayoral ads. The reality star turned candidate insists the setup is about safety, not deception.
Spencer Pratt joined TMZ Live to address the backlash, insisting he never claimed to sleep in the trailer every night. “I don't live at the hotel Bel Air. I don't live in the Airstream. I don't have a house. They burned it down,” he said, adding that death threats forced him into the hotel for its armed security. His wife Heidi and kids are reportedly staying in Carpinteria while the lonely trailer sits on a Palisades property he still calls home base. The campaign ad shows him declaring “This is where I live” in front of the Airstream, but Pratt maintains the spot represents his life after the LA fires destroyed his previous house. Hotel Bel-Air rooms start at $1,500 a night, with the Swan Lake Suite hitting $8,090. So… is the trailer just for show, or is Pratt really roughing it in five-star style?
