Static Dress pulled a prank on fans at Outbreak Fest in Manchester by starting an unannounced set with a Title Fight song. The Leeds post-hardcore band appeared on Saturday, June 27, in support of their new album.
The group began the surprise slot with the intro to 'Safe In Your Skin' by Title Fight, a band on hiatus since 2018. Fans reacted with excitement, with one shouting 'Oh my God. No fucking way!' in footage from the event.
The screen initially suggested Title Fight before displaying the Static Dress logo and the word 'Sorry'. The band then joked that they were Manchester's Guilt Trip. Some attendees left the crowd in disappointment.
Static Dress proceeded with 'Nostalgia Kills' from their album 'Injury Episode', which was released last month. They later covered 'Can't Relate' by fellow Leeds band Higher Power.
The band thanked fans on social media and noted that 'Injury Episode' had been out for one month. They are scheduled to return to Manchester this autumn as part of a UK and European headline tour.
